Meet our founder
Alex is the founder of Studio Wye and the creator behind Tech It Easy and 5 by Alex. His work brings together hands-on technology reviews, films for brands and original 3D artwork.

01 / Before Studio Wye
Before making YouTube his full-time job, Alex spent almost ten years in architectural visualisation. It taught him to pay attention to light, composition and the details that make something feel real.
He started with graphic design, photography and media at college, then studied 3D Game Art Design. Four years at a leading architectural visualisation studio included work on projects such as Battersea Power Station. He then moved into luxury interior design, followed by a younger agency where he worked more closely with graphic design and marketing teams.
Tech It Easy began alongside the day job. As the channel grew, Alex made the move to creating full-time, bringing his visual experience to the technology he was already interested in using and understanding.
That background still shapes the work. Whether he’s reviewing a phone or filming for a brand, Alex cares about how it looks and whether it helps someone understand the product. A beautiful shot needs to earn its place.
Studio Wye brings that work together: two tech channels, commissioned video and digital artwork. Alex leads the studio and stays closely involved from the first conversation to the finished work.
He still gets excited on unboxing day.

02 / Two channels. One studio.
03 / Why Wye?
The name and identity are inspired by the Wye Valley. The rust mark in the logo represents the river, and that idea runs through this site too: one source, branching into different projects.
It’s the name we work under, whether we’re making a film for a brand, testing a product for the channels or creating a new wallpaper.
